Golden Dynasty

Hey, we've never used that headline before.

It is done. KOEI and Omega Force's fifth expansion for a series that hasn't even seen five games on the PS2 yet has been completed. Dynasty Warriors 5: Empires has reached gold status. It's done, finished, got the stamp of approval and is now merrily zipping its way over to the mass processing plant to be copied and stamped a bajillion times over to meet the demands of the rabid, hack-and-slack-hungry public that never seems to tire of hammering the Square button.

For those that haven't had a taste of what Empires offers, it's a little more strategic than your plain vanilla Dynasty Warriors. You'll take control of particular region in China past, then go about slowly taking over all the nearby regions until you dominat-- err, unite all of China under one rule. Of course, if someone's already occupying one of the 25 regions, you'll have to dive in and get all slashy with them.

There's more, too. You'll have to dole out duties to your generals, keep the people happy, and generally play nice with the territories you've conquered lest the local rabble get all rabbely. Now, see, if you'd read our preview of the game, you'd know all this (and a whole lot more, so go read it now and use the knowledge to amaze friends and woo women). You may not know, however, that the game is only $30 and will hit on March 28th, but you do now, and it means you can woo supermodels with that kind of info. If you're a girl, it works even better. That's right, Dynasty Warriors knowledge even helps lesbians. Thanks, KOEI!
