DRIV3R Delayed Until June
It seems the next installment in the Driver franchise won't be hitting stores until June 1, three months later than its initially expected release in late March.

Atari announced today that it has pushed back the release of DRIV3R from the end of March to June 1.
"The Driver franchise set the benchmark for the driving adventure genre, as the incredible legacy of Driver and Driver 2 has combined to sell more than 12 million units worldwide," said Bruno Bonnell, Chairman and CEO of Atari, Inc. "We believe that this additional time will give our marketing team the ability to exploit DRIV3R's full potential, meeting the high expectations of gamers, media and shareholders," he continued.
We can only hope that the delay in DRIV3R's ship date will allow the game to be fine tuned to perfection. Atari will more than likely showcase the game at E3 2004, so we'll be sure to bring you hand-on impressions from the event this May.
