Third time's a charm, right? Well, as long as its better than the second, that's good enough for us. After taking somewhat of a backseat to his familiar badass nature in Devil May Cry 2, Dante has returned and is ready to take names in Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening, in stores today.

"Devil May Cry 3 packs non-stop thrills and a captivating story line into one technologically advanced package," offered Todd Thorson, director of marketing, Capcom Entertainment, Inc. "Action game fans are in for one hell of an experience."

The game serves as a prequel to the first of the series, and this time the evil is no stranger, it's in the family! What are we talking about, you ask? Well, as it turns out, Dante wasn't an only child, as his father, the legendary Sparda, also fathered Vergil, Dante's twin brother who's absorption of power led him to the dark side. Now, the most badass demon-slayer in town must confront his sinister brother, along the way meeting with an unusual cast such as the mysterious Arkham and a female hunter Lady who seems determined to rid the world of demons - including Dante.

Devil May Cry 3 looks to restore Dante to his former ass-kicking self, throwing into the mix four different fighting styles to choose from, such as long-range gun-slinging, mastering the blade at melee range, or using counter and guard expertise.

So who's ready to kick some royal ass as Dante? A show of hands? Looks like all of you; in that case, head on down to stores and plunk down the proper $50 for a copy of Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening. Stay tuned for our review in the coming days.
