Champions Gears Up For Retail
Time to head back to Norrath to slice and dice through another couple thousand bad guys.

It's been a little under a year since we were last treated to the prettiest console treatment EverQuest's realm of Norrath has ever seen. Developer Snowblind Studios hasn't had much time to sit back and count the cash the hack and slash epic brought in, what with all that hard work on the sequel that just happens to be shipping to stores today and all.
Champions: Return to Arms adds two entirely new races (the lizard-like Iksar shaman and tiger-ish Vah Shir) that join the old character list (all with new unique abilities and spells), thousands of items, the ability to play for good or evil, new worlds to explore, a higher level cap, the ability to import old characters from the first game and plenty more of the bells and whistles one would expect from a proper sequel.
"Our main focus when developing Return to Arms was to create an experience that fans of the Action/RPG genre would enjoy, while introducing innovative gameplay features to excite fans of the best-selling Champions of Norrath," explains Michael Lustenberger, Sony Online Entertainment's VP of Marketing, recapping what we've already said. "Two new races, stunning 3D environments, a whole new storyline and a tremendous amount of new content, thrilling, heart-pounding action awaits gamers everywhere."
We'll let you know the final verdict on the game once we've gotten our fill in a few days. Keep your peepers peeped!
