F1 2002 Feels Act Labs' Force
Force Feeback steering wheels are all the rage for PC racing nuts, and Act Labs wants to bring all that razz to the PS2.

Steering wheels and console games are often an underlooked pairing. Most people are perfectly comfortable with a controller, since it's never really done them wrong before, and wheels, no matter how amazing, require at least some kind of rigged setup to really be used effectively. That said, if you can find a proper setup, there really is no substitute for a nice wheel -- or more to the point, a force feedback wheel that lets you feel the road.
Games like GT3, Burnout and a host of others already jumped on the force feedback steering bandwagon with Logitech's Driving Force wheel that was released a while, back, but Act Labs feels there's still plenty of room for competition on the console side of things.
Up until now, the company has shied away from developing input devices for the console market, instead choosing to quietly rake in positive reviews for their PC products. Their first foray into the consoles isn't exactly a full-bore effort, since the Force RS wheel has technically been a PC product for quite some time, but the cross-platform compatability of USB meant it was only a matter of programming in support for the wheel -- support that EA Sports has opted to include with the 2002 iteration of its venerable F1 series.
You can get the full skinny on the $140 Force RS at Act Labs' web site, and those curious to find out what this year's F1 game offers can hit EA's site.
