Call it a shameless marketing promotion (we call it American, dammit!), Midway Games is offering gamers a free 2006 Blitz Cheerleaders calendar with their preorder of Blitz: The League, the sole non-NFL licensed, non-EA football game that will actually make it to retail this year (believe it or not, Road To Sunday: Season One was actually canned). 8.5’ x 11’ in size with a host of the fictional league’s cheerleaders photographed “on site” in Miami, this one will look great adorning a wall in your parents’ basement.

Blitz: The League is scheduled to take the field on October 3, so if you’re in true desperation for it, give your local retailer (Midway suggests GameStop, EB Games or GameCrazy) five (dollars, that is) and feast in the wonders of photographically rendered digital sex. We know it won't be the first time.
