Web-Wide Blackout
You will need this game like you need air.

For a public relations rep, there's nothing more awesome than a game that sells itself with just a screenshot or two, or maybe a movie here and there. That Electronic Arts bought Criterion, a developer seemingly committed to only making games that sell themselves within about 2 seconds of the first impressions, must make the PR staff very happy indeed.
The Burnout series has always been addictive from about the 15 second mark on, but it wasn't until Burnout 3 showcased the RenderWare engine's ability to push visuals that didn't seem possible on the PS2 that the series really took off. As it turns out, RenderWare is just as capable of kicking out visuals that are equally impossible for other genres besides those involving smashing cars to itty bitty bits.
BLACK, they're calling it. Shouting it, if the all-caps title is any indication, but it's rather fitting given the game is going for, as Criterion calls it, a "gun porn" experience. A shouted title seems like the least explosive part of the game.
Why yes, that was a horrid pun, but it's also a clever little segue into talking about EA's official BLACK web site, where you can blow the whole mess up. Yes, the site. You can blow it up. With different weapons. It's fun, and lets you take a peek that game that every single action fan won't be able to shut up about soon. So go take a peek, or look through all the media we've posted here on the site and then go destroy a web site.
Hopefully it'll be theirs.
