Now we know that the original Limited Edition title wasn't all lies and nonsense.

It is a hard life for a multiplayer game out there that isn't named Halo, Madden, or Call of Duty. Even some of best multiplayer experiences on console have suffered from shortages in its user-base and less than stellar support over the months proceeding. Warhawk, Resistance 2, and even Killzone 2 have all been afflicted with similar fates, and they are Sony-exclusive.

But putting up the good fight are the folks behind Battlefield: Bad Company 2, as they announce another edition of their critically acclaimed shooter. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Ultimate Edition will release some time during this holiday season and will feature a few piece of DLC that anyone new to the Battlefield series (or at least on console) should definitely check out.

Of course, you will get a copy of Battlefield: Bad Company 2. With it, you will gain a download for Battlefield 1943, a game the continues to have a community despite being a downloadable game (so don't worry). In addition, you will get access to Bad Company 2's Onslaught Mode, which will be some much-needed training for those really wanting to compete as a team online. Finally, there is instant access to four vehicle and two weapon unlocks, to help ensure an easier dispatch to the front.

You will need everything you get in this new retail SKU, as the community has become quite battle-hardened. There is no confirmation that the VIP access will be included, but as it was EA's way of hindering used games sales, you can expect there will be a code at the ready. There is no price or solid release date as of now, but we will likely get the news later in the year as the holiday season ramps up.
