GT5 Has Install Options For Your Consideration
Your hard drive better be cleared out, because it might be a heifer.

Twitter has increasingly become a source of information that may or may not be planned for public release. Some people forget it isn't a journal for their mundane life (I'm looking at you, horoscope lovers). On the other hand, it can be used good, like when Chris Roper gives away his iPhone games, we tell you about our latest contest, or a developer drops a random tidbit of info.
The latter is most relevant to us, as Kazunori Yamauchi of Gran Turismo fame has a small note for us. As picked up by Andriasang via Yamauchi's twitter feed, there will two install options for Gran Turismo 5. As translated by many (including myself; sadly), the rough response was that the basic install will require 256MB of hard drive space. However, your other option is to install 10GBs to "play comfortably".
There has been a lot of conjecture as to what playing comfortably with the maximum install would be. Obviously, newer PS3 owners, or those that either have a limited library of downloaded content or hard drive swappers, a 10GB install isn't the end of the world (especially for a hardcore, dedicated fan of the GT series). But, if you are an active PS3 gamer (and why not, you're here), or if you still have your old HDD from an early PS3 SKU, you might be take back by the comments.
Until we know how the larger install will affect your gameplay experience, the issue shouldn't alarm people. Having an alternative install size is a welcome choice for people with different lifestyles, so at least be thankful for that. Be sure to check out more news on GT5 as it gets closer to release (whenever that may truly be).
