It's not every day that a story like this comes along. Well it sort of is. But I have to admit this is a little more interesting than most. As someone who spends all day perusing CafePress (can you believe someone stole my brilliant idea of t-shirts that featured the names of fonts written in the font? I though that was so original! I'm still making a 'Times New Roman' to wear around...) and who always wanted that 'Property of PlayStation' sweatshirt that was featured in a 1997 commercial for NFL GameDay (which I can find no existing evidence of), I am actually a little intrigued to see what people can do with the new PlayStation Logo Licensing Program.

Licensees who enter into an agreement with SCE through the "Logo Licensing Program" will be able to design their product using the PlayStation logos and or the iconic marks. The program is applicable to a variety of lifestyle products such as apparel, accessories, house wares and more. Furthermore, SCE will provide "Official Licensed Product logo" to be used on product packages, proving that the products comply with the guideline and have been approved by SCE. Further details on the "Logo Licensing Program" are available on the official site.

Who isn't looking forward to a toaster emblazoned with the Square,Circle, Triangle and X we have all come to know and love. I might take my RAV4 and put the code for 'Assault on Cyburbia' from Twisted Metal on the side (X, Square, Triangle, Triangle, Triangle). The possibilities are endless!

The Official Licensing Program for PlayStation peripherals and accessories was introduced in June 2009 and has contributed to delivering a richer PlayStation experience to users by offering more than 123 items from 45 licensees* who have joined the program. With this new initiative, SCE will further expand the Official License Program and continue the strategy to vigorously promote various measures for PlayStation.
