DreamWorks and Activision have crumbled under the weight of consumer demand, and How to Train Your Dragon: The Game has been officially announced. Due to release March 23rd, three days before the upcoming 3D film, How to Train Your Dragon: The Game seeks to help immerse fans of the movie with what is sure to be a.. Interesting gaming experience.

Sure, you’re thinking the same thing I am, another lame licensed game based off of a kids movie that is looking to milk parents and small children out of their money, but before you judge too quickly, understand that licensed games aren’t always bad. After all, everything deserves at least a peek or a few seconds to look over some screenshots, right? We also have games like Kung Fu Panda to think about, which despite their subject material, managed to produce a solid gaming experience that was missed by many because of the forementioned stigma of licensed games.

For those of you still reading, the game will allow players to travel to and fro on the Island of Berk, where they will be able to train their dragon before taking them to the Fight Arena. For those of your anxious to know what happens after the movie, you'll be happy to know that the game provides content along those lines. Players will also have the ability to participate in multiplayer battles with their friends, where each person will be able to select four of their customized dragons to compete with one another. A variety of mini-games will also be available, which will mostly consist of traditional games with a unique spin to suit the games content.
