Bad News for All Gamers!!!
Prominent censor of videogames has been named as Al Gore's running mate.
Published: August 7, 2000
In a political note, Al Gore has officially selected Connecticut Sen. Joseph Lieberman to be his running mate for the 2000 Presidental election.
To videogamers in the know, Senator Lieberman has been a major figure in the area of videogame censorship and trying to tell gamers what we can and cannot play.
In 1998, Lieberman and conservative former Education Secretary William Bennett began handing out "Silver Sewer Awards" to single out producers of sexually explicit and violent films, music, television programs and video games. He is partly responsible for the ESRB ratings system found on every game.
It looks as though MTV will have to change it's slogan to "Choose And Lose 2000."
