As I reported a few days ago, Europe was going to experience problems with the October 26th launch of the PS2, but the good thing was that the PS2 would have still launched on the 26th. Well that is no more.

FGN Online has reported that the European launch of PlayStation 2 (including the U.K.) has been delayed from October 26 until November 17. Nothing has been officially confirmed by Sony London, who are still saying October 26, but European trade papers are expected to publish stories this weekend confirming the delay to November 17.

The delay has been accredited to Sony's high expectations of massive U.S. demand and high Japanese sales. Europe seems to have been relegated.

We will keep you updated on the latest.
