Ah Mega Man 9, otherwise referred to as that game. You know the type right? Every now and then you get games like this, all excitement you had gathered in preperation for playing shot down in mere seconds as it's ridiculous difficulty causes you to burst a blood vessel and break that nice new TV you bought via an expertly thrown control pad. Now I'm sure they expect people to valiantly work away at this game in some misguided hope that they will save the world from Dr.Wily, but just how exactly is that possible when you're curled up on the floor, teary-eyed with foam spewing out of your mouth as the game leaves you a bitter void of the man you once were? It's just not cricket.

Capcom in their infinite wisdom have decided to respond to this problem in two ways, the first being to offer a way for players to punish themselves even more and the second to offer players a different character to play as. I must admit that the Proto Man Mode certainly sounds appealing but I can't help but wonder what will happen if I perform even worse when trying to conquer the game with him. Still, for those of you who find enjoyment in this game we have the details for the new DLC.

Endless Attack – Test your skills on a stage without end. Try to break the record for getting the farthest. Results will be displayed in the Rankings page. Not compatible with other Challenges.

Proto Man Mode - Play the game as Proto Man. Some of Proto Man's abilities may differ from Mega Man's. Proto Man has the Charge Shot ability, Power Slide ability, and a shield that he can utilize to deflect bullets at enemies. However, Proto Man also takes double damage and has double bounce back when he is hit. There is no story for Proto Man and he is not compatible with Rankings or Challenges.

Pricing for these packs has yet to be announced, but since they're going up on Thursday you don't have a long wait to find out.
