Relive an AWESOME Celtics victory in the NBA Finals with the just-released demo to next month's blockbuster basketball game.

Ballers beware! Hitting the parquet floor that is the Playstation Network today is the demo for EA Sports' latest title, NBA Live 09. The demo is being released just as everyone here at TPS is getting ready for next month's barrage of NBA titles, including Live 09, 2K Sports' NBA 2K9 and SCEA's NBA '09: The Inside, all slated to be released in early October.
In the demo, players can choose to play as either the **Ahem** WORLD CHAMPION Boston Celtics or KB24-led Lakers in one of two game modes, electing to use either current 2008 rosters or the squads from last year using the brand new NBA LIVE Rewind feature. If you feel like actually playing with a GOOD team, I would recommend Boston, though that just may be a personal preference.
Actually, the NBA Lineup this fall appears, at least at this point in time, like something to look forward too. In addition to the REWIND feature, NBA Live is boasting more than a few other excellent improvements, including the one most are looking forward to: Dynamic DNA, which will utilize real-life player stats, data and tendencies to create an unprecedented, realistic experience that is based entirely off of what is actually going on in the NBA. The NBA 2K9 title boasts a similar feature called "Living Rosters" that will operate in much the same way as Dynamic DNA does.
Other notables in NBA Live 09 include improved FIBA play, an appropriate upgrade following this summer's Olympic tournament, and changes to the play calling and pick-and-role systems. Check out the demo, available now on the Playstation Network, and be sure to hit up your local game store on October 7th to pick up the season's titles!
