Ben 10's New Protection Gig: Greatest Hits

D3Publisher's kid-friendly hit is apparently now one of the greats.

"Ben 10: Protector of Earth was a great success for us, and notably has shipped more than 1.7 million units worldwide, which is proof-positive of the global appeal of both the franchise and D3Publisher games," giggled Kim Motika, VP of Sales and Operations at D3Publisher as she prepped another gushing statement. "We’re honored to have this title join such a distinguished group as Sony’s Greatest Hits collection, and we look forward to bringing more Ben 10 fun to consumers with Ben 10 Alien Force The Game, shipping this October."

"Ben 10 is a proven property that has achieved great accomplishments from record-breaking ratings to a top-selling toy line, and reaching this meaningful milestone with D3 as our partner is truly a high point in the success of the brand," added Cartoon Network Enterprises VP Christina Miller. "That Ben 10 has been so successful across so many categories is a testament to the strength of the brand as well as the quality of the products created by our partners."

Happy comments all around, and why not? D3Publisher is making some bank, Cartoon Network is rolling in the cash and Sony pockets a few ducats themselves from all the licensing fun. Of course, if you're one of those folks that holds off on picking up games until they hit the Greatest Hits (which, for those keeping track, is reserved for games that hit the 400,000 copies sold mark and has been out for a year according to Sony rules), then you're even more psyched, because the game now goes for about $20. Not a bad bit of coin to spring for a licensed game if that floats your boat.

Games on the cheap always float our boat, so we'll just leave the news that you can pick up a copy on the cheap now and move on to the next bit of news for the day. See you in a few minutes, no doubt!
