In other news, I bought a miniature Power Ranger from a capsule vending machine for 50 cents. He goes pew pew pew!

Six Degrees Games, a publishing company, has secured $7 Million in Series A equity financing led by Clearstone Venture Partners and Prism VentureWorks. This means, basically, that they can fund their projects. Didn't see that one coming, eh? Apparently, "These funds will support the product development, launch and distribution of an original sports-themed virtual world designed for six to 14 year-olds, but open to all ages." I'm glad about that last part, because I've been shut out of far too many products for the 6-14 male demographic, thanks to some criminal charges I am none too proud of.

To cut out the press release double-speak, they just got a metric ass-ton of money and are very happy to use it to make products for good happy fun times. If you're in the market for a sports-themed virtual environment in which to frolic about, you might wanna keep an eye on them. Me, I'll just go back to giving virtual gold to scantily-clad Night Elves and crying into a bowl of easy mac.
