Gamestop has its eye on a bigger slice of pie, it seems. It's made an agreement to purchase Gamesman, a retail chain in New Zealand. When the deal between the two retail giants finalizes, which is expected to happen later this month, it will bring the total amount of Gamestop stores in the country to 38.
Gamestop Corp. operates stores under multiple brands, including Gamestop and EB Games.
Stephen Wilson, Managing Director, EB Games New Zealand and Australia said, "We are very excited about the union of EB Games and Gamesman. Both companies and their staff have a passion for games and now we can bring together the best of both retailers to offer our customers the finest in service and products, both new and pre-owned."
