Welcome to Shipping Out, our weekly notice of all them thar games that ship from publishers to retailers in preparation for their street date a day later. In many cases, these games won't be on store shelves until tomorrow, but in the interest of getting the word out, letting the PR departments have their fancy quotes and saving us sanity as the weekly releases pile up, we're going to be consolidating everything down into one handy little news story at the end of the day, along with this description. Neat, eh? And lazy!
[PlayStation Network]
[Bishi Bashi Special]
Konami's first available PSOne title for PlayStation Network hits the European PlayStation Network today in the form of Bishi Bashi Special. The game first saw release in 2000 and features over 80 different mini-games converted from two of Konami's Japanese arcade machines – Super Bishi Bashi and Hyper Bishi Bashi. The compilation is all about testing players reaction time and stamina.
Some of the games require intense button mashing, while others take the skilled hand-eye coordination that only a surgeon would love. But for only £3.49, and this many games, can you really complain?
[PlayStation 2]
[SNK Arcade Classics: Volume 1]
SNK Playmore USA Corporation has started shipping SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1 for the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable to retailers everywhere.
SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1 includes Art of Fighting, Baseball Stars 2, Burning Fight, Fatal Fury, The King of Fighters '94, King of the Monsters, Last Resort, Magician Lord, Metal Slug, Neo Turf Masters, Samurai Shodown, Sengoku, Shock Troopers, Super Sidekicks 3, Top Hunter, and World Heroes. Now that's a mouth full.
We're waiting on word on what's in store for the second volume but the first has enough to sate your thirst for quite awhile. Have at it.
Publishers: Want to make sure we've got your games in our weekly Shipping Out blurbs? Just kick overthose shipping press releases to Shipping Out and we'll make sure they get tossed into the rotation.
