Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc. is bringing Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee 2 to North America! Developed by Clap Hanz and Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios, Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee 2 hopes to bring that multi-million selling franchise back to the PlayStation Portable for a golf experience like no other.

Beautiful courses and crazy characters populate Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee 2, along with all of the customization options that fans of the franchise have come to expect. The game also supports 16-player online tournaments and ad hoc wireless mode for one-on-one or Stroke Mode challenges.

“The Hot Shots Golf franchise has been a perennial winner over the years for PlayStation®, and we are very excited to bring the game’s quirky golf experience back to PSP,” said Jeff Reese, director of software marketing for SCEA. “With greater online capabilities, challenging new courses, and a variety of gameplay modes, Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee 2 is a stimulating portable experience that delivers all the charm and fun the Hot Shots Golf series has to offer.”

The online is enough to sell me. But if that's not enough for other players, how about 12 different courses set on tropical islands, desert plains, snow-capped mountains, and oceanfront views, realistic golf physics, and dramatic camera angles to show off that hole in one? Toss in Stroke Play mode, where gamers can play some traditional golf on any of the available courses, as well as Challenge Mode, where players can compete in a season and unlock characters and items during play, and you've got one packed game.

If you're a fan of the series, you already pre-ordered this before it was even announced, but if it's your first foray, you won't be disappointed when this game releases.
