Wet and wild piping.

I know what you're thinking: where the heck are all the puzzle games on PlayStation Portable and PlayStation 2? Empire Interactive is answering that call in the form of Pipemania. Pipemania, Empire Interactive's addictive little puzzler, will return this summer, satisfying all of your puzzling needs.

"The current generation of gaming platforms presented a great opportunity to re-create Pipemania with all-new features that are sure to challenge players of all ages and skill-level," said Karim Farghaly, vice president of sales, Empire Interactive. "We are certain new and old fans alike will find it hard to put down the mayhem packed into the new installation of Pipemania."

What exactly do you do in Empire Interactive's Pipemania? It's simple really: lay down a set of pipes in a tiled grid in order to keep the Flooze, the liquid moving through the levels, moving through the pipes without overflowing. It requires quick thinking if players want to survive.

Five different game modes grace the game: world, arcade, bonus, multiplayer, classic, and even the original Pipemania game. More than 70 different levels are stuffed into the game, with all sorts of themes as players build their Island World. And the game can be played either singly or in competitive co-op.

The original Pipemania was released in 1989, so it's been awhile since laying pipe was on gamers' agendas. No telling if Empire Interactive can reignite that fire but we're hoping the flame hasn't burned out.
