Playing Cards Meet Fighting Games
Author: Warren Stallworth
Published: April 8, 2008
Welcome to Shipping Out, our weekly notice of all them thar games that ship from publishers to retailers in preparation for their street date a day later. In many cases, these games won't be on store shelves until tomorrow, but in the interest of getting the word out, letting the PR departments have their fancy quotes and saving us sanity as the weekly releases pile up, we're going to be consolidating everything down into one handy little news story at the end of the day, along with this description. Neat, eh? And lazy!

[PlayStation 2]

[Fatal Fury: Battle Archives Vol. 2]
This just in: SNK Playmore USA Corporation has released Fatal Fury: Battle Archives Vol. 2 for the PlayStation 2. That's right fighting game fans, you can now join the cast in three epic games from the Fatal Fury franchise, Real Bout Fatal Fury, Real Bout Fatal Fury Special, and Real Bout Fatal Fury 2: The Newcomers. This completes the seven games series between the two volumes.

Newcomers to the Fatal Fury franchise will be astounded at the gorgeous hand drawn sprites and great character designs, but it's the “2 Line System” that really shines. Jump from the background to foreground or back again and strategize against the other player. It's a breath of classic air from a time when Street Fighter 2 ruled the roost.

[World Championship Cards]
Crave Entertainment throws down with the ultimate collection of card games you'll ever see on PS2. World Championship Cards is now shipping out to retailers all across North America. Featuring more than 30 different classic games like Bridge and Gin Rummy, as well as 10 different versions of Solitaire, Cribbage, and Hearts, it's probably the most complete package you'll find anywhere!

The best part? The create-a-character mode. That's right, create-a-character. What better way to stomp all over Solitaire than to do it while wearing a cowboy hat? Oh, and multiplayer is included as well. Eight players can kick it online with their USB cameras and USB headsets hooked up. It's almost like being right there!

The game goes for $14.99.

Publishers: Want to make sure we've got your games in our weekly Shipping Out blurbs? Just kick over those shipping press releases to Shipping Out and we'll make sure they get tossed into the rotation.
