For those who bought 50 Cent's first game, you now have a reason to be excited again: 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand is headed to a PS3 near you. Developed by Sierra Entertainment and featuring the likeness and voices of 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo, and DJ Whoo Kid, players will get the chance to jump back into the role of 50 in a battle to protect the man's assets and collect payment from a crooked overlord. It's almost like playing through his latest album.

"We are taking this sequel to the next level with exciting combat and gunplay, new original music, great graphics and a new story," said 50. "50 Cent: Blood on the Sand will have everything my fans are looking for in a 50 Cent game."

It's what you make of it, really. 50 is promising more exclusive tracks in the game, featuring unreleased music by him and G-Unit. The game will also have multi-player drop-in and out, a system for counter-kills, as well as driving and aerial combat. The storyline is also penned by Kamran Pasha, the producer for Bionic Woman.

"50 Cent and shooter fans everywhere came out to support 50 Cent in Bulletproof and made it a multi-million unit selling video game," said Al Simone, senior vice president of Global Marketing for Sierra Entertainment. "Gamers will be excited that 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand provides the ultimate next-gen 50 Cent game experience to ever fit into one disc."

If you say so.

There's currently no release date but the turnaround time for hip-hop inspired games seems to be about a year. Perhaps we'll see a fall 2008 release date.
