Puzzle Guzzle Hits PC PSP Store

Got a PSP and a computer? Time for a new demo!

If there's one genre that the PSP seems to have ably tackled in its few years of existence, it's the puzzle game. From Lumines to Puzzle Quest, there have been plenty of fantastic mind-benders for Sony's little uberhandheld. None of them, however, have a name as weird as Puzzle Guzzle.

While there certainly are puzzles, there is little to no guzzling as near as we can tell. We know, you see, because we hopped onto the PlayStation Store through our PC. What's that, you didn't know you could access the very same PlayStation Store that you can get to on your PS3 through your PC? Well someone didn't read our news story on it, now, did they? Yes, you can access the PSP version of the PS Store to download stuff directly to your PSP without having the need for a PS3.

It's handy, sure, but until fairly recently, the offerings have been rather slim. Luckily, that's changing, as evidenced by Agetec slapping a demo version of their Irem-developed puzzle game up on the store for you to check out (also up on the Store, a demo of Harvey Birdman and a whole bunch of full games to download and play). After a few minutes of rotating blocks to form solid shapes, we'd certainly puzzled, but did no guzzling to speak of.

Luckily, if you don't believe us, you can head to the store to see for yourself, Mr. Doubtful. You big meanie. The demo is only 11MB, so it's a quick and easy download and should give you a nice little intro to things. We'll have a full review of the game very, very soon.
