Take-Two Opens Shop in Marin
2K Marin is the latest office in the company's portfolio.

It wouldn't be California without dozens upon dozens of technology companies entrenching themselves throughout the (hot) landscape, and Take-Two Interactive isn't about to buck the trend. The publisher and developer is best known for owning Rockstar Games, the guys behind the Grand Theft Auto series. Far from a one trick pony, however, T2 felt like giving it's 2K Games subsidiary a bit more room to spread its legs -- and we're sure the coffers of cash from its recent GOTY contender BioShock didn't make the expansion difficult.
The new 2K office is located in Novato, which itself resides in Marin County. They've already got their fingers in several pies with a presence in pretty much every modern continent (Europe, Australia, Asia, North America), but some would argue that California is its own crazy world filled with blossoming game ideas and horrible traffic. When the guys at 2K manage to get to the office, we're sure they'll continue to pump out some fantastic games. We've already seen what they can do with The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and we can't wait for more.
