Fallout 3 Has Its Create-A-Perk Winner
Published: November 20, 2007
Word was kicked down from our pals at Bethesda that the Create-A-Perk contest thrown to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Fallout has come to an end. The winner, one Marc-André Deslongchamps will have his Perk featured in Fallout 3. Dubbed "Grim Reaper's Sprint," the Perk allows you to recover all of your action points after offing an enemy -- handy considering everything in the game is still guided by action points despite the game's slightly more run-and-gun look and feel than the previous isometric 2D affairs.
The total number of entries numbered in the tens of thousands (okay, 17,000+ to be exact), and included everything from a Heroes-like ability to unleash a mini-nuke explosion from your body to kleptomania to the ability to woo womenz with your fabulous fake accent. the official Bethesda blog has the winner and runners-up, and it's definitely worth a peek.
Of course, then you'll have the same gnawing hunger for the game that we have right now, so be forewarned. Fall 2008 can't get here soon enough...
