Rainbow Six Returns to Vegas
Time for another go in Sin City.

It was hardly a surprise given the critical and commercial success of the first Vegas: Ubisoft is sending the Rainbow team back in for another tour of duty. What is surprising is just how nebulous Ubisoft is being about the project. We know it's coming in March of next year, we know it's being developed by the Ubi Montreal team that made the first game and we have vague promises of a new single player campaign and plenty of attention being paid to the online multiplayer portions of the game. Short of that... well, there's this:
"Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas took the gaming world by storm in 2006 thanks to its technological advances and gameplay innovations,” boasts Yves Guillemot, president and CEO of Ubisoft. "We are convinced that Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 will remain a pioneer in the highly competitive first person shooter genre, bringing more of what Rainbow Six fans love to the table.”
Well, uh... yeah, so there you go. Apparently Ubi is staying mum on things because all the beans will be spilled in the January issue of the Official Xbox Magazine. Not exactly relevant to us PS3 owners, no, but given that the original Vegas was a rather solid port on the PS3, we've expecting nothing but good things for the sequel. Updates when we get 'em.
