Starlight Inception Kickstarter Campaign Ascends To New Heights
It's combat. In space!
Published: April 17, 2012
The Kickstarter phenomenon has erupted. Fans now have the opportunity to fund projects and games that studios may want to do but can't. It has also been a blessing for the little guys, the small developers out there who just need some backing to get their feet under them.
Enter Escape Hatch Entertainment and their project Starlight Inception. The space combat title is looking to take the PS Vita by storm with its blend of first and third person action.
“The Kickstarter campaign is in full swing,” Garry Gaber, President of Escape Hatch Entertainment, said. “But we still have a challenge ahead of us to get to the finish line successfully. We’re a small studio with a new I.P., barely even registering on the radar. We kind of get lost in the noise. So we have to do other things to stand out and be noticed.”
EHE has also brought in three time Grammy nominated composer David Arkenstone. You may know his work from World of Warcraft: Cataclysm. They have been constantly updating their Kickstarter page with trailers, teasers, art, and a ton of information.
“After seeing some of the incredible concept drawings and art coming into the studio every day from prospective partners and the quality of our revitalized Kickstarter campaign, I’m really excited to see what can be done for Starlight Inception," Melissa Gaber, Vice President of Escape Hatch Entertainment, said.
The Kickstarter recently passed the $30,000 mark over the weekend but they're still in need of your help. The ultimate goal for Escape Hatch Entertainment is to hit $150,000 in funding within the next 21 days. If you have any questions feel free to head over there and ask, the team has been great about listening and responding. We at TPS will be sure to keep you updated with their progress and hopeful success over the next three weeks.
