Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City Multiplayer Modes Revealed
In the city... the city of Raccoon.

We are in the midst of a Resident Evil renaissance, with all of the main-series games available on the PSN right now, and the fantastic Wii railgun shooters coming down the pipe in the near future. If you've been ignoring the series because you are a big scaredy pants or barely out of training pants, it's never been easier to finally get aboard.
Even better, a whole new iteration is about to be created in the Umbrella labs as Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City nears release. We've talked about Heroes mode already, but today Capcom set free a whole new batch of multiplayer info. And you know we have the lowdown on all the new modes!
All modes are 4 vs. 4 team battles that set the members of the Umbrella Security Service (USS), composed of Vector, Beltway, Lupo, Four-Eyes, Spectre or Bertha (are these guys Transformers rejects?) vs. the United States Special Ops forces that include Tweed, Dee-ay(?), Harley, Willow, Shona and Party Girl. I honestly can't decide which team has the more horrific names. Those of you hoping to see more of the S.T.A.R.S. are probably a little sad, but a handful of them ARE playable in Heroes mode.
Team Deathmatch - In this classic mode, you'll battle it out with the other team while also avoiding the zombies and B.O.W.s that wander through the map looking to add the carnage, "an element that could only exist in the twisted Resident Evil universe".
Biohazard - Keep the G-virus samples safe ass you take them back to your base in this Capture-the-Flag variant that also features those pesky zombies and B.O.W.s that juts can't be kept at bay.
Survivors - There is only limited space on that rescue chopper (that just can't get here fast enough) so fight off the other team along with, wait for it... zombies and B.O.W.s that are looking to infect you with their dreaded virii. Stop them all!
Hmmm... well those modes are a bit more traditional than we had hoped, but fun is fun, so if the gameplay is right these modes we will fight. In. Look for more info as it trickles through the system to us.
