Physical media will continue to dominate for higher priced items such as big game titles. Downloads will dominate the low price game content space.

Why? DRM. I bought the PS3's Warhawk download at launch only later did I learn I cannot share the game with my friends in any form other than to let them play on my account. When I spend more than 20 bucks on an item I fully expect to be able to A) let friends come over and play that content and B) let them borrow it when I'm done with it.

Now for cheap download content you don't really care about your investment that much. Yea, I've spent hundreds of dollars on downloadable games and music so far but at $0.99 to $10 a pop I don't care strongly about sharing that experience with my friends.
